CAM and Plante & Moran, PLLC Present a Podcast Discussion on the 2007-2008 Biennial Business Survey Results

The Construction Association of Michigan (CAM), in conjunction with Plante & Moran, PLLC, recently released the results of its 2007-2008 Biennial Business and Owners Survey. Conducted every other year, this all-inclusive survey reflects the current health of the commercial Michigan construction industry and, for the first time, will project the future of the industry over the next 12 to18 months. The official results are in accordance with professional contractors and owners who are involved in the construction industry on a daily basis. Recently, CAM representatives Kevin Koehler (president), Amanda Tackett (director of publishing), and Plante & Moran representative Tom Doyle (partner), recorded a Podcast question and answer discussion about the Biennial Business Survey results, and what those results will mean to the Michigan commercial construction industry. Special Dreams Farm Land Ho Cruise

Special Dreams Farm is a working farm in New Baltimore, dedicated to supplying the special needs community with opportunities to work, learn and live. It is a non-profit organization, which consists of parents, teachers, consultants, residential agencies, and community members. Private grants and individual donations are very important to the farm, and will help them continue to grow and operate successfully.

On the evening of July 18, 2008 there will be a fundraising cruise on board the 138-foot yacht “Ovation” touring Lake St. Clair and the Detroit River. This first class event will be three-and-one-half hours long, and will include an ongoing gourmet supper, premium open bar, dancing, and entertainment by the ten-piece Kimme Horn Show Band. Cost is $125.00 per person; all proceeds will benefit Special Dreams Farm.

Many endorsements already exist from the Detroit area construction community. Sponsorships for this event are available, as is advertising space in the event program. Sponsors will receive considerable recognition, with their names and logos being displayed at the sponsored item, along with the banner on the ship and in the program. The Special Dreams Farm Land Ho Cruise is also a great way to entertain friends, clients or customers. There is no limit on the number of tickets a sponsor may purchase; however, the total amount of tickets sold for the event is limited and will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

For more information, please visit www.specialdreamsfarm.org to learn more about this wonderful facility and fundraising event. To order tickets by phone, please call Marian (586) 749-5377; Mary (586) 716-9863; or Jeanne (248) 361-1891.
